Images For A Cure 2012 is here!

It's that time again!

I was tickled pink when I received an email from Kristen Weaver announcing that photographer registration for the 2012 Image For A Cure campaign was open!  This amazing organization is made up each year of a few hundred photographers from around the country, campaigning to raise money for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®.  So far, IFAC has proudly raised nearly $40,000 for the foundation...and I am so happy to have been a part of that!

As of this morning, my registration is complete!  This year marks my 3rd consecutive year as an Images For A Cure photographer...and I am looking forward to using my time and talent to make a difference in the lives of women!

In a few weeks, I will be releasing information on my exclusive mini sessions.  Just like the last two years, 100% of your session fee will be donated directly to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® by YOU!  Yep - that means you will have the opportunity to have some beautiful images taken while supporting a great cause!  Does it get any better than that?

Stay tuned for more information...coming your way soon!  And if you'd like to be one of the first people contacted with the details about this session, please email me at jenniferleighphotos@yahoo.com to get on my contact list.  I look forward to connecting with...and photographing...you!

LaToya & Family {Jekyll Island portrait photographer}

While LaToya currently lives and works in the Atlanta area, she still maintains her strong ties to the Golden Isles.  And when she was last in town, I was thrilled to meet her and her fabulous five at Jekyll Island's Driftwood Beach for a sunset session.

However, I don't think I was exactly prepared for just how fabulous this group would be!  It was about mid-session when we transitioned from group shots to individuals...and the personalities started coming out!  Each and every one of LaToya's clan rocked this session, right down to the little man!  It was my pleasure to both photograph and share in some laughs with this beautiful family.

Enjoy a sneak peek into our time together!  Can you tell we had fun?

This mom has got it going on!

And then...this happened...

Which, of course, inspired this...

Aren't they a beautiful bunch?

Secrets are Hard to Keep!

Have you ever known about something SO EXCITING that you wanted to shout it for all the world to hear...but had to keep it a secret?  Do you remember how that awesome little secret burned inside of you each day you had to keep it to yourself?

Well, over the past several months, I've been keeping not one, but MANY new and exciting things under wraps over here at Jennifer Leigh Photography!  And to make it even more difficult to keep my lips sealed, the exciting things continue to multiply!  I swear, I am bursting at the seams to finally be able to reveal them all to you within the next month or so!

I've been hinting around here and there about what these incredible new changes, additions, opportunities, and ventures might be, but I have not given you anything concrete just yet. So consider this your first little sneak peek into just one of the new exciting things coming your way soon!

I'm working hard with a new partner of mine on one of the bigger pieces of awesomeness today, so that's all I can give you for now.  Keep checking back for more tidbits that will lead up to some crazy good reveals...all coming soon!

Bridgette & Avery {Charleston wedding photographer}

Two of the best things about my job as a photographer are working with many incredible people and traveling all over the country to photograph them during some of the happiest moments of their lives.

I was so excited to have the opportunity to photograph a wedding in Charleston, South Carolina, a few weeks go.  And one thing is for sure - Charleston was a gracious host to Bridgette & Avery on their wedding day!  The weather was picture perfect for their outdoor wedding at the incredible Harborside East, a gorgeous venue which served as both the ceremony and reception locations.

I hope you enjoy this brief sneak peek into the beautiful connection between the new Mr. and Mrs. Peake, as well as the beautiful venue and sights that made their wedding day extra special.

A big thank you to all the wonderful vendors who came together to make Bridgette & Avery's wedding day a beautiful beginning!

Proudly Announcing: We're Having A... {My Life}

For almost twenty weeks, we have been patiently awaiting to learn the gender of our growing little human.  So when Candy of Candace Hires Photography came to us with a plan to capture this exciting step in our journey to becoming parents, we quickly said, "Yes!"

I have to give my husband some big time credit.  Taking part in a gender reveal photo session wasn't exactly the most manly of things he could have done this past Saturday...nor was holding a massive bunch of balloons.  But he's an amazing husband and daddy-to-be.  Isn't he just the handsomest?

So without further ado, we are proudly announcing that we are expecting a sweet little baby GIRL, due January 2013!

We are just over the moon about her!  She's beginning to make her presence known, as my belly begins to expand, and I have begun to feel her move around.  In fact, the morning of our photo session, Jason was able to feel her little kicks for the first time.  She's definitely the active one when we peek in on her during the ultrasounds, and she is as healthy as can be.  We're looking forward to seeing her again in a few weeks.

I hope you enjoy this sneak peek into our session!  We look forward to sharing more images with you during the last half of our journey.  Thank you to all who have expressed so much excitement about our little baby girl.  One thing is for certain, when she arrives, she will be loved!
