The Piccari Family {Akron - Canton family photographer}

One of my many stops in Ohio 2 weeks ago was to visit my sister, Monica, her husband, Tony, and their handsome doggie, Enzo.  Frequenters to the Jennifer Leigh Photography blog or Facebook page may recognize Enzo as my former foster dog, Trax.

My husband found Trax eating trash on the railroad tracks behind our home.  Although we fell in love with him right away, we turned him over to the local animal control shelter to see if he would be claimed by his owners.  He wasn't, so we picked him up a week later, trained him up and looked for the perfect forever family for him.  In the meantime, I held a photography fundraiser to pay for Trax's heartworm treatment, and we loved on him something awful.

I never in a million years thought he would find a home with my sister, who originally wasn't all that much of an animal person.  One year later, Trax (now renamed Enzo) has been living happily-ever-after with Monica and Tony in Northeast Ohio.  The kicker?  Monica is head over heels in love with him...so much so, they even dressed as pirates together last Halloween!

I loved seeing how much Enzo was thriving in his forever home.  He is super healthy with an extra shiny coat, still has all his manners, loves to play with his toys, enjoys entertaining with his tricks and is just as happy as can be.  And what is equally fun is watching how much Monica and Tony are enjoying him.

I was thrilled to be asked to do a session with the three amigos.  And the perfect location was right in their backyard!  Spring was in full bloom, and this yellow flowering bush served an amazing backdrop.  Here's a sneak peek into our shoot...

If ever you are considering adding a dog to your family, please adopt.  Amazing dogs just like Enzo are anxiously awaiting their chance at a forever home and to bring happiness into the lives of their new humans.  To find a shelter or rescue near you, please visit PetFinder.com!  "Rescued" is the best kind of breed!
